For a preseason build I did polarized training using protocol from this paper:
Polarized training has greater impact on key endurance variables than threshold, high intensity, or high volume training and my FTP improved considerably, but after that I tried General build plan from TrainerRoad.com (general build/ High volume) and after one month there's no improvement on 8 minute interval, which is used to estimate FTP, but my CP at 1-5 min improved. Would you consider that an improvement or I should've apply my efforts differently?
