Either, 11 speed, or neither.

I wouldn't choose to ride a bike which didn't let me have one tooth jumps to the 19 cog with a sufficient low gear, high gear, and shift points on and off the big ring.

50-39/40-30 x 13-21 8 cogs, 53-39 x 14-25 9 cogs, 50-39x13-25/26 10 cogs, 46-34 x 11-23 or 46/50-36 x 12-25 11 cogs.

With middle aged spread I'd definitely want a triple.

Your W/kg, terrain, and taste for metronomic cadence will vary.
