So Cannondale is saying that they do not stock and supply parts for their frames for the expected life of that frame? Or only for those frames that never change hands? Wasn't there a mantra once upon a time that the customer came first?
I have no issues with Cannondale saying this is not a warranty issue; that the customer pays for the replacement. But not selling it to him? Huh?
I would find it odd if this were the case, I'll admit. However, the bicycle business is very different from the car business insofar that every item on a bike typically has a third party replacement, and very little on bikes is really so "custom" that a third party replacement won't simply slot in. For this reason, as I suggested in my first post in this thread, the OP should just buy a carbon fork, and not worry about whether it says "Cannondale" on it. The replacement fork will probably be better quality than the OEM fork anyway.

Of course a Lefty is a good example of a completely non-standard part!
