My three year old s works pump that was never proper even when new is starting to really frustrate me. When I push down the dial will say, for example, 110psi but whoever I pull back up it will drop down to 90psi. I've always assumed the pull-up number was the accurate one but I've never really known. Cliff's notes: recommend a really nice pump. They have one in the shop that probably is the best but it's $450 before team discount. That's a lot.
Pedro's Super Prestige. Lezyne Floor Drive. Park Tool PFP-8, which I've had for six years now and still works fine. Though I need to flip the Presta grommet in the head at some point. They have "de-contented" it a bit in the last few years, so the PFP-7 might be a better pick.
If you're really picky about accurate pressure readings, pick yourself up an Accu-Gauge. They're less than $20.
