Just to add a few items, at least how I've read the research. The bike was not made by E. Bozzi. Who didn't acquire the brand until after this bike was built. It was made by the Ghelfi brothers, who named their bicycles in honor of those who died building the Frejus Rail tunnel under the Alps, connecting Italy to France. The TDF is indeed a model name. It is listed in Frejus catalogs. Bike was built in Torino. The Ghelfi Bros. shop was very close to the Piazza Satuto where the monument to the tunnel workers is located.
