i feel like R4 is good stuff. i take it only after HARD workouts - where i know i need some serious recovery. it really seems to reduce muscle soreness and fatigue and help recovery.
if it were cheaper i might take it after every ride.
i think best is in the hour after a ride, but anytime in the next 4 hours is ok --- i.e. if you have to train or drive home after a ride.
