I cross shopped both these bikes myself! Along with a Trek 8.5 DS and few others. I ended up going with the Specialized Crosstrail Sport disc mainly because the frame seemed to fit me better. I did like the Giant, but for some odd reason I kept hitting my foot with the front wheel whenever I made slight turns. Didn't have that problem on the Specialized or Trek.

By the way, Congrats on your new bike! I have to admit, seeing the blue color was the main reason I went towards the bike to test it. It's a nice looking bike. Also noticed many positive reviews on youtube.
