As you wrote, though, "when I'm riding I eat full meals and there is road fuel to consume, but the net intake goes down." Without keeping score, there's no way to know how much less - or more - you're esting when you ride.

i applaud your ability to stay away from ice cream. If it's in my 'fridge, it soon disappears.
