I am kind of lost when it comes to drop bars. My bike came with some nice Zipp bars but I removed them, then got this hair brained idea to hack them into makeshift bullhorns. Lets say that it did not work out. I would like to try drop bars again and need some help. 31.8 stem and a cross lever brake, no hoods. Looking for as much real estate up top before the actual bars drop, at least enough to get my hands out around the flat part of the bar. The Zipp bars that came on the bike were 44cm Service Course Short and Shallow. They dropped off a bit too early for my liking. The bullhorns I run now are Bontrager Aero 42cm. I am open to either size, just need the ability to run that brake on the left and have room for my hands out on the bend before the drop for stability. Any advice or links would be great, thanks in advance!
