I am jealous of where you ride. My GP4000S only last 6 months and they are shredded up (rear). My mate has never worn down the wear indicator in 10 years of riding, tyres are always cut up and puncture prone before they wear out.
I am considering the gatorskins as a result but some of what I am reading doesn't give me confidence in them. I'd rather to buy tyres more regularly than slide off the road with loss of traction.

But since I'm here, I've run both the Gatorskins & GP4000s for years.
'Skins on my rain bike & '4000s on my pretty day bike.
Both are excellent and I love them so. Won't use any other tires.
