Five months later and back to post 176 -

Found these pics courtesy of E.A. Sloane's Complete Book of Cycling and made me re-think opinions of that crummy Cannondale handle bar bracket. Those brackets mar up the bars and the bungy / strap is not ideal. The Golden Boy graciously sent me an Army surplus pack to be modified and utilized as a saddle mount bike bag.

I zoomed in on the image and the seatpost adapter to bag bracket appears to have an Eclipse logo. I plan to replicate the design and use my Cannondale front wire support once again for our Santana tandem. Probably will tie the bottom corners to the stay tubes. After 35 years since purchased new, the Cannondale stuff is not too bad.... lol
