The fit is good, as you can see in the first photo there's a bit a of a gap in the back but that just you can get it really tight on the seat post if you want to. Compared to the Dinoote mount the clamp closes more on the seat post. Finish is chalky and smooth like you say. Color-wise it pretty much disappears on my seatpost which is all I really care about. Nuts fit well, just not as flush as on the Dinotte mounts.
