Thoughts on this bike for a beginner?

Hi everyone, I've been lurking around the forums for a while but I finally made an account and I need some of your advice. I wasn't sure where to post this so sorry if this isn't the right spot.

Quick info:
I'm a college-aged male, 6'3" and 190 lbs. I'm not a huge biker but I want a nice bike I can ride on the sidewalk, bike trails, and some less-busy roads. I won't be riding more than 45 minutes at a time (mostly) with most trips less than 20 or 30.

So here's the ad for the bike: Trek 7.0 FX - Crossover Bike - Taller for 6 feet plus

It's just a basic Trek 7.0 fx 22.5". He said he thought it was a 2014. $220 seems too expensive for a used 7.0 fx but what if I could get it $150? Worth it, or should I keep looking?

Thanks guys.

EDIT: and if you're curious I currently ride an old Diamondback Cross Campus that I found for $35 on Craigslist. I just want to get more into biking and upgrade to something a bit nicer.
