Q factor? Its not that I am hitting the caliper, My foot hits the wheel that adjusts the position of the pad, so it creates constant resistance until I notice it, stop and spin the wheel, then readjust. Worse yet its messing with me psychologically. Now if get tired or hit an imperceptible grade change I start thinking 'did I kick that brake' stopping only to find its my fitness, unless I did actually 'kick the brake.'
After dropping over $2k cash for the Vaya at my LBS (Nebo Ridge in Indy), i went in an expressed an interest to buy a Mukluk 2 Suspension, that day. I asked if they would work with me even a little bit on MSRP and they didn't budge a penny. I consider $3,500 a fair amount to spend on a second purchase in one year, they didn't I guess. I went across town to my 'new' LBS (Indy Cycle Specialist), they gave me $75 off the bike as a first time customer and acc discounts across the board + free service. I wont be going back to where I bought my Vaya and will tell anyone I come across to avoid Nebo.
$75 hardly matters, especially on $6k in purchases but the principal makes a big difference to me.
