[h=2]Great vintage lugged Trek - $180 (Downtown Rke)[/h]

I've got a 1988 Trek 330 road bike for sale. It's a road bike, but but it's built up as more of a townie/commuter type ride, which is a great way to enjoy a vintage steel road bike. This bike is from the era when Trek still made their bikes in the US (Waterloo, WI to be exact). The frame and fork are built with a lugged construction method using True Temper double butted chromoly tubing.

The bike is in great shape- no dents, dings, or damage to the frame or fork anywhere. The paint has a few chips here and there that have been touched up but overall it's in fantastic shape, especially considering it's age. The bike was just tuned up and has fresh cables and housing, new saddle, new bars, new grips, and new brake levers. It's really a quality bike throughout- Suntour/Sugino drivetrain, DiaCompe/Tektro brakes, Ritchey/Shimano 105 wheels, and nice Kenda 700/28c tires. Also comes with a handlebar bag, a bell, and a taillight.

The frame size is a 24"/60cm, but it has a relatively short top tube (as was common on American bikes at the time). In modern terms this bike would be considered a Large and would fit someone from about 5'11"-6'3" give or take depending on your proportions.

This bike could be both great addition to any seasoned rider's stable as a commuter or a great first bike for someone wanting to take advantage of the great riding in our area.
