I want to try to emulate the feel with my 46mm PowerTap Carbon clinchers - which have a 20.8mm outer profile. Currently have 23mm tires; will 25mm tires feel like junk on there? Probably a dumb question, but havent dabbled with anything other than 23mm tires before. (Tire/wheel compatibility charts say its fine; but will it feel fine?)
In my experience, the kind of tire will play into this more than the width. I run 25's of narrow clinchers for training and don't notice any ill effects. I also will run a 23/25 mis-matched set and can't really tell a difference between the two with the same tire model just different widths.
