Yeah, that is what catalyzed this whole idea for me. I currently have a 130 BCD Red Quarq but my recent use of a few 52/36 cranksets and my affinity for stage races (Along with the memory of Devil's kitchen at Catskills) makes me feel like I may be better off just switching to 110 bcd.
The RS provides the advantage of being able to use 53/39 or 52/36 (Or even a 34 if I so desire) but at the disadvantage of the rings being some serious cash and the fact that the RS weighs a bit more than a regular 110 BCD unit, not to mention the rings weigh a bit more than regular flat rings. Honestly though I don't know how much I really care about ~100 grams.
