I had intentions of removing the chrome spoke guard from the rear cassette hub of my '87 Cannondale SR400. While removing the cogs, I realized that the freehub was different from anything I'd seen before. Instead of being essentially one diameter from end-to-end, it has two different diameters, thus I can't get the spoke guard off without removing the freehub first. Do I need a special tool to remove this freehub, and are there specific steps to follow in order to remove?
