Track is a lot of fun, you get to race multiple times in one night!
Yeah it was a lot of fun, but it's a big time commitment for a kind of short workout! I'll probably try to make it to Wednesday night racing a bunch this year. Tried a guys rollers for the first time ever actually. Was a bit afraid of rolling off the side haha.

Some unsolicited advice.... do not use anything smaller than 88 gear inches (49/15). And for your level of road accomplishment and strength, 90 or 91.8 gear inches would be better. If you were on a rental bike, you get what you get.
We had our own field, decent size too. I didn't count but I'd guess over a dozen. I didn't use a rental, I used a bike I was given. She gave me an extra cog as well, but it's 14 so I probably just need to by a 15. The 16 felt fine for most of it, but it was really hard/impossible to get a good jump from 30+ on that final lap. Just spun up and kept accelerating through the finish but the guys with better gearing/better leg speed got the jump. The points race was better (and my favorite) because there were 4 sprints so I didn't need quite as much jump, but I'm sure I will when I upgrade.
