Bikes: Giant Suede (Comfort cruiser - "The Rocking Chair"); Giant Escape 2 (700mm Hybrid - "The S.U.V."); Specialized Secteur Elite (Road Bike - "The Scooter"); Surly Troll (Touring Bike - "Load Up & Go Anywhere")

As a 300# rider my LBS suggested (and said they would stand behind the suitability for use) a new set of 700c Mavic Open Sport 36 hole rims for my Specialized Secteur that had Mavic CXP22 rims from the factory. Have to admit that I never really new I had "rim issues" until riding on the new Open Sport rims - What a difference!

Tires are Gatorskin 25's that I run at about 120 psi and have never had an issue with them on either wheelset . . . And are far more "comfortable" that the original Specialized rubber.

Cost for the rims from the LBS was a little over $200 . . . Plus they verified wheel true and spoke tension before installing - With the promise of follow-up truing as they wheels are broken in.
