One of the reasons I wear a helmet is that a branch could fall out of a tree. In '06, a tree fell on the spot where my car had been parked three hours before... Don't get me going about trees...
Coincidentally, today I was pulling down some (not too large) dead branches and put on my bike helmet. Good thing I did as one of them whacked me on the head. Things fall very fast...
