It shouldn't be a big deal. I switched my 53/39 crank to 50/34 without changing chain length and haven't had any issues in over a year. Technically you should resize the chain but in the real work 2 teeth wont make a huge difference. But people also regularly witch cassettes from say 12-25 to a 11-28 and back depending on terrains they are riding without resizing chains
