My problem with the grips is that I am considering barcons, and the grip completely seals the end of the bars, so I would need to cut the ends to put in the shifters.
I purchased these, just for spec.
Try immersing them in hot water, or try a hairdryer, to warm, and soften them, then slide them off.
They also had an unique way of mounting the brake levers.
