I've always been a big time Shimano guy but the spacing of SRAM cassettes makes so much more sense. First of all, with a SRAM 11spd road cassette fit work with my Dura Ace 9000 group?
The gears I use most are 11, 12, 16, 17, 19, 25, 28. I could probably get by just fine with just these 7 gears. It's either steep up, steep down, or totally flat around here. Not much in between so I have probably never even used the 13 or 14 except to get to the 11 and 12
I currently have Ultegra 11spd cassettes in 12-25 and 11-28. The 12-25 is great for flat because sometimes the 18 is a nice gear to have, but I miss the 11 and 28. The 11-28 misses the 16, and often enough going from the 17 to 15 is too big of a jump. 50x17 is 20.8mph @ 90rpm and 50x15 is 23.6mph. That's a big jump. Dura Ace has a 12-28, which I could live with, but titanium cogs wear pretty quick. My entire group is Dura Ace except the cassette for this reason.
Anyway, just hoping that SRAM road cassettes are of good quality. The 11spd 11-28's look perfect for me.
