I recently had an offer for SAG support from a friend, so planning an 11 day ride from my home in NW Arkansas (live 5 miles from the Missouri border). In September this year, I plan to ride south from my home through western Arkansas, to Texas, then on to the Gulf of Mexico, then as close to Galveston, TX as I can get (a little over 600 miles). I've heard cyclists aren't allowed on the bridge into Galveston from the east. Always wanted to do a ride, starting in my driveway, and going as far possible, until I come to an ocean.
Depending on the weather and how I feel, I can generally do 60-75 miles a day. So if I get to Galveston and still have time, I might head west for a day or two.
