That was an $8K bike when new. $2K range seems reasonable at 4 years old and lightly used/in good shape.
Let's face it, for the money, it's going to blow away anything new that you could buy for the same price. I wouldn't worry about an unblemished CF frame from a major manufacturer, in good shape and lightly used. I bought my Venge used- no issues. Paying so much extra for a warranty is overrated- It's unlikely that you'd need to ever use the warranty; and the warranties are often worthless, anyway. If a 4 year-old bike is still in good shape, you can assume it had no defects; so the only thing you're losing, warranty-wise, is a crash-replacement warranty- and those are usually jokes- forcing you to pay more for a replacement frame than what you could get one for on Ebay.
So, yeah- if you like the bike, and it's in as good a shape as claimed, I'd treat myself and go for it! I would never spend $8K on a bike...but to get that bike for $2k-$2.5K, I'd jump at the opportunity. After looking at that, a brand new $2K-$2.5K bike just wouldn't cut it! Totally different league. Someone else took the depreciation already....youi can benefit.
Go for it!!!!
