What does your wife ride now?

The 2300 shifters (if that is what you have) are probably matched to the triple and Sora FD. The rear derailleur doesn't make as much difference, and the higher quality the better.

Anyway, is your wife comfortable with the double gearing choices, or does she want a triple? One can go awfully big with the rear sprocket on a double if desired.
