I'm trying to figure out how to service these Atom pedals and cannot figure out how to remove the dustcap to get access to the internals. They don't look like especially high quality pedals, and feel like that haven't been greased since 1974. Are they serviceable? No threads, holes or ridges on the dustcap that would give a clue as to how to remove them. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
Velognome is correct. I just serviced mine from a '78 grand touring. Use a small screw driver, gently tap with hammer and they'll pry off. Rebuild is easy, clear out the old grease (which was amazingly in decent shape on mine) clean everything up, add new bearings (or just reuse the old ones), pack full of grease and reassemble. I think it's worth the effort, even if you decide to get something else.
