Wlile reading through these posts I see a lot of thought that the "Comfort Bikes" are not for 'Real Cyclist", well, read on and tell me what you think.
Sunday morning (today), about 6:45, temperature in mid 50s and I'm riding the Virginia Creeper Trail on my (hang head in shame ) Diamondback Wildwood comfort bike, the sun is breaking through the clouds, the river is running alongside the trail and the fields you ride through have cows grazing contentedly and the trees are jumping with color.
Now I have made some upgrades (don't we all? ) tires, grips, pedals, seat, added a rack and a bag, now I'm pedaling along loving life, rode almost 20 miles in less than 2 hours, how can this get any better?
Now if that don't make me a real cyclist, I'll kiss your bottom bracket! Thoughts?
Oh yeah, I just bought an Electra Townie for the wife to join me also, but that's another whole lower level, right?
