Bikes: S-Works Tarmac, Nashbar CX, Trek 2200 trainer bike, Salsa Casseroll commuter, old school FS MTB

If I recall its 7 speed. Get the bike and Claris shifters + 8 speed cassette, swap it all. Much better bike for slightly more cash, you may approach the cost of a Claris equipped bike though
