MBTA drivers can be pretty dangerous here in Boston. They drive fast and muscle other road users out of position with ruthlessly stubborn intimidation merging techniques. If you don't get out of their way, they will hit you or (if you're lucky) wait until the last possible minute to SLAM on the brakes.
Often, if one respects traffic signals, the bus and biker play a very unfun type of leapfrog in the right & bike lanes.
Often when the bus is landing from its leap at a stop on the right side, the bus pulls to the curb at an angle, leaving the bike lane blocked and a bus butt in the right vehicle lane. Not a great scenario for any road user.
If you have words for them, they very often have ruder retorts. The MBTA taught me not to engage with ********... Unless i want to become the bigger one.
That's all for now. Pedestrians are another topic. As are drivers; taxis might need to be their own subject as well, good lord.
Keep on pedaling, and maybe take some comfort in the fact that your city is cycle friendly, by US standards.
