I am broken hearted today to relay the very sad news that our own coasting, Charlie from England and late of Taipei, passed away suddenly in the past few days.
I met Charlie in London on a layover flying back to NY from Greece in 2010. He was the sweetest man on the planet. He thanked me for saving his life (I had urged him to go to a cardiologist, he did, and it turned out to be a good thing he did). Must have been heart troubles. He would have been in the range of 45 years old by now. I'm very sad.
RIP Charlie/coasting. We loved you and your sense of humor. You never failed to brighten our days. You will be sorely missed.

...Jesus Christ ! We used to joke about the fact that I was so ancient and would undoubtedly predecease him. In typical fashion, he told me he'd miss me, but not that much.
