Well, a week after the ad went up on Craigslist, I decided to snag it. I was going to try to haggle the price down a bit, but $200 seemed "reasonable" enough, although the high end I would pay for the lowest quality Tricross. And, the seller looked like he could use the full asking price.

I may be incorporating a mix of gravel and dirt with my road riding shortly. So, I'll try out the Specialized, but perhaps also consider rebuilding my Litespeed for gravel and dirt roads.

It is a TALL bike. Fortunately it has a sloping Top Tube

The rear wheel didn't match, and I think was a 135mm wheel spaced to 130mm. A slight wobble that I'll have to deal with (hopefully), and dishing. It had two broken teeth on the Cassette (can't imagine how that happened), and the oddest arrangement of washers on an extra-long axle. The rear spokes appear painted????

So, I guess I'll work on the wheel a bit and see if I can get it repaired, if so, then it won't be too bad of a deal overall, even if it is the wheel is slightly mismatched.

I'm still wanting to try disc brakes... but for the price, Cantis it is.
