on my shimano hubs, in the very benign conditions i ride, i won't touch them until sometime after 10,000 miles . OTOH, on a recent nine day tour, with some rain, having been regreased before the trip, they were weeping rusty oil/grease by the time i got home.

so under some conditions i'll regrease after 800 miles and/or nine days i guess.
