An annual overhaul on quality cup/cone hubs such as yours will do them no harm and keep them in long smooth service.
I'm still riding 70's vintage hubs that are as smooth as new (or better) serviced every season of use that have seen lots & lots of miles.
Buy a Park (or similar) chain wear gauge (chains do not stretch, they wear) and replace at the .75 mark. Ride, lube, clean and proceed.

I have found that once a year is plenty for hubs I use regularly with one exception. Winters are really tough on gear and I may overhaul my hubs more often depending on the conditions.
