Rear Wheel Bearing Problem?

When I pedal I hear really fast clicking sounds. It sounded like my chain needed lube and that it was dry. So I took care of that, but the bike continued to click.. After removing the chain it turns out that the clicking was coming from inside of the hub. Should I take it to my LBS or is there something that I can do to fix it myself. I was told that it would cost 22 bucks to replace the bearings.
