I haven't owned a steel bike since the 80's. But I had to buy a 26" wheel mtb to take in the truck with me and found an old specialized rockhopper rigid with kenda kwick 1.75s on it. It's steel and weighs within a pound of my Trek DS. But the ride is really good, sporty, and it feels lighter.

I called around to try and ride an awol or a sutra, everyone is waiting for stock to come in.
