You did not say if you had a presta or a Schrader valve, but the Schraeder esp put some soap suds on the valve and make sure it is not leaking, you can swap out the valve core maybe if it is the source of the leak. I have had that happen a few times over the years with car and truck tires, different valve core fixed it.
