Actually the AMF is built better than the Roadmasters but this AMF is still overpriced.

A little history - Pacific Cycle bought out Brunswick (parent company of AMF) in 2000. Since then, they have bought the Schwinn, GT, Iron Horse, Mongoose, and yes, the venerable Roadmaster brands.
Most or all are now made in China by people not paid enough to properly tighten what they're putting together. You even have to watch the frame welds now.
From working the back room as an Assembler at Wal-Mart I know how the quality on them has really declined since this AMF was built.
