Use a milk crate until you save up more money to get the best. If the Ortlieb costs more than $60, wait until you can afford it. I have Ortlieb panniers, not a trunk bag, and I am super impressed. If [MENTION=329644]Double0757[/MENTION] says it's good, then I'm sure it's worth the money. Don't skimp, because you can make this purchase once instead of twice.

And by the way, a milk crate is not a bad thing to have on your rack. I used to use a backpack when off the bike, and then I'd toss it in the crate when it was time to roll. Very convenient but heavy.
