I'm always interested to read these articles, but the people writing these articles need to stop using statistics like below:

one study found that driving by young people decreased 23 percent between 2001 and 2009.
It's been more than 5 years since 2009 (which coincides with the bottom of the recession ) and surely we have newer data -- if the trend for less driving has continued, then the new data will back it up. Otherwise, it starts to look disingenuous.

Just sayin'...
