When looking at old (or vintage) road bicycles, it pays and saves to know what a good bicycle looks like. With that in mind, take a look at Vintage Bicycle Quality and, if you think it worthwhile, apply what you learn there when checking out possible purchases. Hope it is a help.

By the way, the yellow bike you are considering is worth next to nothing, in my opinion.
