I had this basket attached to my front rack. Easily removeable and works with a rear rack. Thought it was a great compromise on not being too girly. It'll go in the same spot on my new bike! But it would be great for you. Nice looking and a breeze to remove for your picnic. Holds tons, but isn't too big. and made of nylon for durability.
