That being said, I'm more pedestrian than anything these days (~28 years of glaucoma is no bueno) and it has been my experience that those riding their bikes on the sidewalk tend to avoid collisions with me. Of course, I'm 6', 225+ lbs, and wear 'safety' colored shirts- hi viz orange, yellow, blue, and pink. I have had numerous close calls while in the cross walk from inattentive/aggressive drivers, not to mention the number of people who don't realize that blocking the crosswalk is the same as running the light/sign
