Park Tool has a bike position measurement
method and recording form available. It has instruction, pictures, and things you need to document a bike that fits so you can transfer this to another bike or get it back when replacing components. I just started using it with my acquisition of a Peugeot this January, so I only used it a little.
I thought it was funny that the person's hands had gloves on, like they were performing a medical procedure.
