Yeah, and the supply of 54-58s is seemingly never ending. Supply is a dime a dozen so if one is priced too high, there will often times be a bunch of other options that are good and for less.
Contrast that with a 64cm which is rare- if you think the price is $50 too high but there aarefew to no other options, then perhaps the little extra $ is worth paying.
