Vintage Schwinns are loved by many here, including me. In general, if you stick to the the later 80s year range, you'll actually end up with what the original seller claims was on that Le Tour. For example, World Sports from that period are considered the low end of the Schwinn product line, yet are comfortable, have nice panasonic frames and mostly alloy components (including wheels). Yea, you might not win any races with one, but its a fine basic bike and at least in my area, there is always a few for sale. Lots of Schwinn catalog scans online. Like the Le Tour, you can usually narrow down to the exact year and look at the catalog page to see actual configuration. Good hunting!
