Bikes: are fun!

Ernesto certainly went to town to make every bike scream Colnago with either the cutouts, embossing or paint schemes of the late 80/90's along with tubing shape. The OP's bike does not scream Colnago to me so I am wondering about the deficiencies and if there was a lower level model that had the shortcuts taken.
Agreed! I believe there is a fair amount of variation even within a given model for a given year. Especially wrt chrome plating locations.

My '83 does not have 'Colnago' branded rear dropouts. Just 'Campagnolo' and the meaningless serial number. Fork tips do have 'Colnago'.

From what's shown above, the seatstay caps give the biggest pause along with other details mentioned above. The Colnago 'Junior' on C&V Sales with Aelle tubing (lower model?) has the rounded 'Colnago' seatstay caps. Lugs on this one are close with some peculiar details mentioned previously. The junction from rear dropout to the stays looks about right, but is a bit more abrupt/rough (tall step from outer DO face to stays), though that may just be a trick of light/paint/photo.
