The bike in the ad was indeed a tandem - a pretty nice one, $7000 original, now at a fire-sale $2000 price. I posted a link to the ad in the tandem forum's CL thread. As a wedding gift I think I'd have rather the money be spent paying for the wedding, or the student loans, or the mortgage! Since it had couplers, perhaps they should negotiate who gets the front half and who gets the back half.
