How can I find the actual rim width, nothings written on the rim. Should i just use a ruler to measure?
Measure the inside diameter of the rim with the tire off. So deflate then pry/peel the tire off and measure the inside distance between the two rim walls. A general rule is a rim can accept a tire that is 1.5 - 2 times wider than the inner width. So if the inner width is 1-21mm(give or take) you would be fine to use 32s.
32s are incredibly common and the ccs3 looks like a hybrid- I would be really surprised if it cant handle 32s.

If I were doing 1000miles in 20 days, I would be more concerned with making sure the wheel hubs, brakes, and shifting was all in great shape. Also that I had a saddle that fits and handlebars that will be comfortable for hours on end.
Good luck on the journey!
